Job Description


The SRC (Service Response Center) is a "One Call Does it All" Department. The primary responsibility of the Service Response Center Representative is to take incoming calls for multiple departments, dispatch various services, and generally provide outstanding customer service at all times. This Specialist role, will be appointed for a portion of each day to the Patient Logistics Center. 


The ability to work with Microsoft Office and tracking technologies to ensure productivity for the Departments that we service is essential.  Representatives have access to multiple software screens and must be flexible and capable of multitasking when necessary. The successful candidate will have strong telephone skills and the ability to seek and use available resources to troubleshoot. The ideal candidate must be able to work well in a team setting and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Additional responsibilities will include documenting and reporting on productivity and requests made for and by the Departments serviced, timecard/attendance management, running various reports, and general administrative support for three departments. Candidates with previous experience in the Service Response Center are strongly preferred.




High School diploma or GED. Three (3) years of clerical experience.
This is a State position employed by UNC Health Care System.
