RN Clinical Nurse II for Medicine Acute Care/3 West

 

*36 hour/week, 12 Hour Night shift, weekend rotation. Self-scheduling to meet the needs of the staff and the unit. Straight Night shift may be available. 

*As a State employee, this position offers State benefits including health insurance options, retirement plans and a generous PTO package (accrual up to 230 hours/year.)

 

RN needed for a 26-bed Medicine Acute Care unit caring for patients with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), autoimmune and connective tissue disorders, pneumonia, chest pain, CHF, GI bleed, and diabetes.  The RN will facilitate admission, treatment, transfer, and discharge of patients, allowing for hospital throughput. 

 

Through shared governance and educational training classes, staff are equipped with the tools and resources needed to maintain a positive and successful work environment.  The work environment is built on teamwork and communication.

 

Qualifications

Requires graduation for a state-accredited school of professional nursing and at least one year of nursing (RN) experience. Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the State of North Carolina by the NC Board of Nursing and have a current Healthcare Provider BLS certification. 

 

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Must be enrolled in an accredited program within four years of employment, if hired after January 6, 2014 without a BSN or MSN and obtain a baccalaureate degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.
