The Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) is a free-standing surgical facility that is located in Chapel Hill near the medical center. The ASC provides surgical care to both pediatric and adult patients. The ASC supports services such as: orthopaedics, ENT/OHN, plastics, general laparoscopic, general oncology, urology and dental with over 6000 cases completed each year. The ability to scrub is preferred, but not a requirement. The ASC is looking for a RN candidate with a tem building, positive attitude and 2+ years as a Operating Room nurse.
40 hours per week working 10 hour shifts, 7am to 530pm, Monday through Friday. No weekends or holidays and no call.
We have flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of the OR and provide employees work/life balance. There is a 6 to 8 week orientation program that is 5 days/week, 8 hours/day prior to obtaining the 10 hour a day scheduled shift. This position also qualify for a generous benefit package.
Graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing. One (1) year of nursing (RN) experience. If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled in an accredited program within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
