Clinician Support Technician I needed for 1 Memorial Observation Unit
1 Memorial Unit is a 25-bed Observation Unit. The unit will provide care to adult observation patients with a variety of medical diagnoses. The environment is fast paced and requires a great deal of interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork. This unit is open 7 days a week and 24 hours per day.
The staff on this unit will also be cross trained to staff 4 West, a 12-bed Medical Surgical Observation unit which provides care to varied adult population to include observation, extended recovery from PACU, and Medical Surgical acute care patients awaiting an inpatient bed assignment. Both units are under the same management team.
CST I is responsible for assisting the professional caregiver in the delivery of patient care, transporting patient and/or equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms and performing a wide range of clerical, transcription, and maintenance of the patient care unit desk area functions.The CST I in this position must also possess excellent communication and customer service skills with a team approach. Basic knowledge and skills utilizing various computer systems is preferred.
This is a 36 hours per week day/night rotating position with benefits.
High School diploma or GED. Listed as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification. One (1) year of clerical or customer service experience and six (6) months of related nursing assistant experience, which may include a nursing assistant course or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
