UNC Health Care Hillsborough Campus is a community hospital which is an extension of UNC Medical Center focusing on many of our elective surgical programs.  The 83-bed facility combines a community hospital culture with the innovative procedures and care for which the UNC Medical Center is known.

 

The Diagnostic and Treatment Unit is a 15-bed Inpatient Unit at the Hillsborough Campus has inpatient beds to care for a varied patient population to include predominantly family medicine patients, but also including, observation, extended recovery from PACU, and other medical-surgical patients.  As part of the team, you will help in assisting the team to facilitate admissions, treatments, transfer and discharge of patients.


This is a per diem/at will position which requires the ability to work at least one 12 hour shift every two weeks and one summer and one winter holiday each year. Shifts are 12 hours (7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am). There are no benefits associated with this position.







Qualifications

High School diploma or GED. Listed as Nursing Assistant II with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Listed as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Six (6) months related nursing assistant experience.
This is a State position employed by UNC Health Care System.
