Seeking highly motived, team oriented LPN to build care team in busy Trauma/General/Reconstructive Plastic Surgery clinic. Provides direct patient care, meeting both psychological and physical needs in accordance with the plan of care, physician's orders, and nursing and department policies and procedures. Patients range in age from pediatric to geriatric. Care will be provided in the outpatient setting. Assist physician with minor in-clinic procedures, prepare and maintain sterile field, perform complex wound care. Work along side other members of care team to deliver appropriate care for patients with mobility restrictions including paraplegia. Practice safe transfer of patients by using proper lift equipment and transferring techniques. The ideal candidate posses strong interdisciplinary communication skills, has a willingness and drive to learn new techniques, and provides compassionate care of the highest quality to patients across the lifespan.
QualificationsGraduation from an accredited program of Practical Nurse education. Completion of an approved pharmacology course (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience). Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in the applicable state (NC or VA).
