The Performance Improvement and Patient Safety Department is committed to improve the quality of care provided to our patients and to provide resources to help develop and implement evidence-based interventions. Data Analysts provide analytic support to the performance improvement staff and others across the Medical Center who are involved in performance improvement projects.
Provide consultation related to data collection, management, analysis and reporting
Collaborate with end users to understand and define their data needs. Develop appropriate technical specifications and project management plans to satisfy these requirements.
Provide consultative and analytical support including design, implementation, coordination, and data querying to support clinical improvement work.
Design and produce high-quality analytic products for the appropriate audience. Understand how to structure the data in a way that communicates existing trends and patterns.
Communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders as appropriate, including executives, clinical staff, other analytics departments, and end users.
Maintain strong attention to details and prioritize workload while meeting deliverables and expectations.
Experience in health care industry and with health care data. Knowledge and experience with relational databases and data analysis tools. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Prefer Business Objects and Tableau skills.
If a Bachelor's degree: Three (3) years of experience in quality team facilitation, project management, process improvement or quality data analysis role. Clinical Experience associated with leading quality improvement efforts may be assessed as equivalent to direct quality improvement experience both in determining minimum requirements, as well as level of experience.
If a Master's degree: One (1) year of experience in quality team facilitation, project management, process improvement or quality data analysis role. Clinical Experience associated with leading quality improvement efforts may be assessed as equivalent to direct quality improvement experience both in determining minimum requirements, as well as level of experience.
