Rehabilitation Services at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, is accepting applications for an Occupational Therapist to work on the mental health team.  The occupational therapist will provide evidence-based occupational therapy evaluation, consultation and skilled treatment with clients who are experiencing mental health crisis in the emergency department, and the inpatient mental health units.  This occupational therapist may occasionally provide evaluation and discharge recommendations in UNC Children's Hospital on Sunday.  Excellent time management, communication and organizational skills, and the ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment are critical to the success of this candidate. The occupational therapist is expected to have involvement in the areas of continuing education, departmental and community activities, outreach education and role of preceptor to students. The selected candidate will work Sunday (4 hours), Monday (8 hours) and Tuesday (8 hours) with occasional holiday coverage.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
This is a State position employed by UNC Health Care System.
