The Pharmacy Manager for Managed Care and Human Resources has overall accountability for the leadership and day-to-day operations of the managed care related pharmacy services as well as to provide human resources support within Pharmacy Services at UNC Health.
The Pharmacy Manager for Managed Care and Human Resources will exercise leadership responsibility to meet the needs of patients, physicians, nurses and pharmacy staff in a manner consistent with UNC Health Care System’s values, mission and employee standards of behavior.
The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for collaborating on strategic planning and innovation to develop and apply evidence‐based medication use strategies that will enhance member and population health outcomes while also optimizing health care resources at UNC Health. This includes working with UNC’s Managed Care department and our payer partners. This position will work closely with other leaders within Pharmacy Services. The Manager also participates in the educational and research endeavors of the Pharmacy Services.
The Pharmacy Manager is a liaison between Pharmacy and Human Resources (HR) facilitating communication across the shared services departments. Responsibilities also include evaluating various organization records requirements and assuring required HR records are documented and retained, initiating and coordinating HR projects, providing consistency in the application of HR policies and serving as a resource to other pharmacy leaders for HR issues.
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy. Three years pharmacist experience or equivalent required.
Eligible for licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in NC. Licensure from NC Board of Pharmacy required within 6 months of orientation date or sooner if required for operations.
