Job Description


This position may involve support of various hospitals and health care systems within the UNC Health Care System, but will be employed by Rex Hospital, Inc. (this includes, but is not limited to, for purposes of payroll, health benefits, retirement options, and applicable policies)


UNC Health is seeking a self-driven and hard-working SharePoint Analyst to join our growing SharePoint team. The ideal candidate should have the experience we seek apart from technical skills, one should have good interpersonal skills with strong sense of functional capabilities to work with internal customers on system requirements and problems. Analytical and critical thinking will be crucial in working with clients.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to analyze, design, document, develop, quality assurance testing, and implementation for SharePoint Online and O365 solutions.
  • Work with Business and IT Owners to gather, translate, and implement requirements to technical solutions.
  • Experience using SharePoint Online with third-party applications like ShareGate and Nintex
  • Works with staff to develop and maintain standard practices & policies to support the application configuration, usage, platform, and development solutions.
  • Provide end-user training as necessary. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience with SharePoint 2013 and Microsoft Office365 / SharePoint Online.
  • SharePoint or SharePoint Online migration experience.
  • Applied experience in facilitating business requirements, research, and documentation.
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing or supporting custom SharePoint solutions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to business processes.
Preferred Knowledge:
  • PowerShell, SharePoint Designer, Sharegate, InfoPath, Nintex Forms / Workflow, PowerApps / Automate knowledge is an advantage.
  • Experience using ServiceNow ticketing service.



Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience). 


No licensure or certification required. 

If a Bachelor's degree: Two (2) years of direct experience. 
If an Associate's degree: Six (6) years of direct experience. 

If a High School diploma or GED: Ten (10) years of direct experience. 


Excellent analytical and communication skills. Ability to work well in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Highly responsive to internal customers.


This position is employed by NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System, in a department that provides shared services to operations across UNC Health Care. This is not a State employed position.
