:RN CLINICAL NURSE II PACU MEDICAL CENTER
The UNC Hospital Perioperative Division is seeking a valuable team member to join our postoperative department. We welcome someone who is energetic, flexible, patient driven, and an effective communicator. We are currently experiencing exciting times planning for the future of Perioperative Services and a new surgical tower. We welcome creativity and a passion for the job.
We have 26 bays, 6 holding bays, and perform over 27,000 cases per year. Cases include robotics, minimally invasive, transplants, traumas and all general surgeries. You can expect to recover complex cases with a team of passionate and collegial professionals, utilizing the best care patient models. Our ideal candidate will possess considerable knowledge of critical care procedures, be able to adapt to change, maintain a safe environment, possess the ability to work independently as well as on teams to effectively care for our patients and their families.
Strongly prefer a minimun of two (2) years of PACU, Critical Care or Emergency Room experience.
9AM - 7:30PM or 11am - 9pm Able to be flexible if you would like to work 1100 - 9pm three days the 1st week and 11am - 9pm and 1200 - 2000 the 2nd week.
Two Holidays are required per year to work
Call is two - three 12 hour shifts every 6 weeks
Graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing. One (1) year of nursing experience. If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled in an accredited program within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
