CN II per diem needed for Wakebrook Campus Crisis and Assessment
Wakebrook Campus is a psychiatric facility located on Sunnybrook Road in Raleigh North Carolina. This 72 bed free-standing facility provides inpatient and outpatient services in Wake County.
Crisis and Assessment Services (CAS) is a mental health clinic which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are an outpatient clinic which operates similar to a psychiatric emergency department. We triage and assess patients of all ages who are in crisis. Patients may remain in CAS for hours or days, depending on resources available in the community.
The Clinical Nurse (CN II) conducts patient assessments, administers medications, and monitors patients with mental illnesses, intellectual / development disabilities, and substance use disorders. The CN II collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team and must be a team player with motivation to learn.
This is a per diem position and requires availability to work at least one 12 hour shift every 2 weeks and one summer and one winter holiday. This position does not offer benefits and the per diem employee is considered at will. Flexibility is needed to assist with meeting the staffing needs of the unit.
Requires graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing and licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Current Healthcare Provider or BLS Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. One (1) year of relevant and current experience required with psychiatry experience strongly preferred.
