Provides patient care within the scope of practice for the licensed Registered Nurse. Facilitates patient flow and assists with prioritization of work assignments.
About our clinic:
Our office at Healthpark in Clayton houses the following four departments: Urgent Care, Primary Care, Ear, Nose and Throat, and Rheumatology. The clinic staff is comprised of 5-Primary Care providers, 1-Ear, Nose and Throat provider, 1-Rheumatology provider and 3-Urgent Care providers along with their support staff.
Urgent Care addresses issues that include minor lacerations and burns, accidents and falls without major fracture, sprains and strains, moderate back problems, mild breathing troubles (mild to moderate asthma/COPD), eye irritations, fever or flu, vomiting, diarrhea, mild dehydration, sore throat, cough, minor broken bones and fractures (with no major deformity), skin rashes and infections, bug bites and stings, urinary tract infections.
Our office is conveniently located across the road form UNC-Johnston Hospital on Hwy 42 East just a few miles from Downtown Clayton and 40/42 interchange with easy access to HWY 70 Bypass and Interstate 40. Local restaurants are within a 5-10 minute drive. It is a beautiful, “almost new” facility being only 3 years old.
Clinic days/hours: Rotating Day and Evening hours, including weekends. 8am-8pm.
Type of work schedules offered: Rotating 12 hour shifts.
The ideal candidate has:

• Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving and negotiation skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must have ability to document information accurately and consistently
• Must have good interpersonal and active listening skills
• Exceptional customer service skills are a must
• Must have strong analytical skills
• Must be willing to work with a diverse staff.
• Experience is appreciated but not necessary; a willingness to learn is essential.
Diploma, Associate Degree (ADN) or Bachelors Degree (BSN) from an accredited school of Nursing. Previous experience in physician office, urgent care, emergency department preferred.
Licensed to practice as Registered Nurse in North Carolina. BCLS certification required.
