The UNC Hospitals Radiology Department is looking for an energetic and customer-service oriented individual to represent the face of the UNCH Radiology. This individual will be a team player and excellent at multi-tasking. This person will have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Responsible for providing diagnostic radiology services primarily to UNC Medial Center with locations to other locations.
The Radiologic Technologist performs x-ray examinations using standardized protocols to assist in diagnostic evaluation and treatment of patients. Work responsibilities may include musculoskeletal, chest, abdomen, pediatrics, fluoroscopy, OR, portables and C-arm. Rotations to other work locations are required as needed.
The successful applicant will have strong interpersonal and customer service skills, be highly motivated and patient centered, demonstrate initiative, have excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task, be detail oriented, and be a strong team player. Direct patient care experience is essential.

QualificationsAssociate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program. Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire. (Registry eligible candidates must provide a copy of diploma from accredited program.) Must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
