Location:Lenovo Building, Morrisville, NC 

Hours:Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, develops and coordinates the preparation of budgets, financial statements, statistical reports, cost analyses and other financial information. 
  • Performs complex and specialized assignments in area of expertise. 
  • Performs lead role in coordinating complex projects. Provides financial reporting as requested for all affiliates, including but not limited to Actual to Budget comparisons, and Financial variance analysis (actual & budget). 
  • Support various financial reporting offerings which include but are not limited to: month-end financial reports, education and empowering end-users to account for their variances, productivity, research and analysis into their procurement activity, trends and forecasting, operational analysis. 
  • Prepare financial package to be included in the Board of Directors packages. Prepares and analyzes various reports with expense and statistical information. 
  • Work with the Corporate Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to review existing or new processes for opportunities to improve/increase efficiency opportunities for all affiliates. 
  • Assists with the evaluation of business results. 
  • Prepare product line financial and profitability analyses. Present findings for management to facilitate decision making. 
  • Assist department managers in the development of department and affiliate budgets. 
  • Gather data to support budgeting analysis and forecasting. 
  • Evaluates, develops and assists with the Capital Budget and related tracking. 
  • Aids department managers in maintaining appropriate productivity levels.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Public Administration or substantial equivalent and six (6) years’ experience in public accounting or management of an operational unit (Master's degree in Health, Business or CPA certification preferred).
  • If a Bachelor's degree: Six (6) years of experience in public accounting or management of an operational unit.
  • If an Associate's degree: Ten (10) years of experience in public accounting or management of an operational unit.
  • If a High School diploma or GED: Fourteen (14) years of experience in public accounting or management of an operational unit.
  • Research, retrieve and organize data to prepare reports and financial documentation, analyze and audit data.

This position is employed by NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System, in a department that provides shared services to operations across UNC Health Care. This is not a State employed position.
