Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by patient care providers and provide guidance on the protocols of proper donning and doffing PPE.
Monitor clinical providers as they don and doff PPE to ensure all safety protocols are followed for coworker and patient safety.
Serve as a PPE coach, being proactive in identifying and correcting any breaches of protocol and/or possible points of contamination.
Identify issues with the PPE equipment quality, placement and/or fit issues.
Assist with managing PPE supplies in clinical area and deliver supplies to the unit when needed.
Assist with proper disposal of PPE from the doffing area.
Directly assist providers in donning PPE during emergency/code events.
Identify risks for contamination of areas, surfaces or equipment during donning/doffing process and communicate risks with unit manager.
● High School Diploma required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
● Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
● Excellent communication skills required.
