UNC Cisco LifeConnections Health Center - Part-time Psychiatrist 

UNC Physicians Network is seeking a part-time Psychiatrist for an on-site employee health clinic in Morrisville, NC, Cisco LifeConnections Health Center. 

Clinic hours: 

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m 

Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m

  • Telepsychiatry

At the Cisco LifeConnections Health Center, patients do not have to imagine being treated like a VIP. They actually are a VIP. We offer comprehensive primary care right here on our campus, located in Research Triangle Park. All under one roof, we offer advanced primary care services with an onsite lab, physical therapy, health coaching, and EAP counseling. 

Using alternative therapies to enhance and accelerate your healing, we offer chiropractic, acupuncture, and massage therapy by prestigious practitioners. Instead of a cold exam room, experience an exam suite equipped with wireless internet access and telehealth video conferencing. Convenient and hassle-free, we provide high-tech optometry services with free digital retinal imaging. We know the Cisco culture, we understand the job demands, and we are here to help our patients stay well and be at their best. 

Position Specifics: 

  • Maintains an environment of safety for patients, self and others. 
  • Provides professional medical services to patients. 
  • Exercises independent professional judgment in the care and treatment of patients. 
  • Orders and prescribes medical treatment, diagnostic testing, nursing care, and other health and medical services. 
  • Prescribes medically appropriate pharmaceuticals. 
  • Consults and counsels with patients and families. 
  • Provides health and medical education to patients and families. 
  • Refers patients as needed to appropriate medical specialists and other health care professionals to assure appropriate mutidisciplinary care is provided. 
  • Documents medical and clinical care in the patient's electronic record in a timely manner. 
  • Assigns the appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes to permit third party insurance billing. 
  • Collaborates with and participates in the education of other medical professionals. Adheres to the principles of medical ethics. 

Job Qualifications: 

  • Medical School Graduate (MD/DO) 
  • Board certified NC State License preferred 
  • Must be eligible for credentialing
