The Solutions Manager oversees multi-disciplinary and cross-departmental initiatives to plan, develop and implement Population Health EMR-based and other solutions to meet system strategic needs, value-based care

metrics and drive clinical quality improvement and innovation of care delivery. They manage an internal team of Solutions Designers and Solutions Coaches, interface with Health Alliance, system and ISD leaders to prioritize work, address resources and barriers. They oversee the overall portfolio of solutions and guide strategy to innovate and meet future needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Resource Management/Oversight: Guides and oversees internal team resources (designers and coaches) to plan, develop and implement solutions. Collaborates closely with ISD counterparts to match ISD resources with Agile team demand.
  • Communication & Relationships: Manages relationships with clinical & operational stakeholders, governance groups, ISD teams and other teams across the health care system, to prioritize work, ensure program/ projects/initiatives are executed successfully. Supports cross-continuum and cross-departmental alignment with groups outside of the UNC Health Alliance to support system goals and break down operational silos.
  • Leadership/Governance: Interfaces with various governance groups and leadership to ensure existing and future work aligns with system and Health Alliance strategy.
  • Solutions/Portfolio Management & Evaluation: Manages portfolio of existing solutions (including maintenance and optimization), monitors and evaluates success and ROI of initiatives and solutions. Collaborates with ISD counterparts to ensure solutions align with EMR future development.
  • Consultation: Provide recommendations, expertise and consultation to internal and external stakeholders regarding Population Health solutions and capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and have seven (7) years of project, program, or portfolio management experience
  • If Master's degree, requires five (5) years of project, program, or portfolio management experience
  • Preferred: experience with Epic or another EMR

This position is employed by NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System, in a department that provides shared services to operations across UNC Health Care. This is not a State employed position.
