Coordinates and advises on all aspects of the DME program at the assigned office. Acts as a liason between the staff, physician and clinical staff.
Education of MA's and alternative ATC's on the proper policies and procedures, measuring and fitting of braces.
Responsible for updating and maintaining notebooks provided for the MA's, Physicians, and staff.
Assist staff and physicians in problem solving regarding type of brace and fitting that best suites the patients and their situation.
Responsible for reviewing paperwork to make sure that it is filled out correctly and sent to billing.
Report any abnormalities on the forms.
Responsible for ordering of new stock and ensuring that packing slips are sent to billing.
Responsible for reconciling the inventory to assure that we are billing appropriately.
Act as a facilitator for new product that the physician would like to have added to inventory.
Maintain all documentation regarding DME.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Assist in the continuing development of the DME Guidelines for the MA's, ATC's, Physical Therapy staff and Physicians.
Assist patients with billing issues.
Act as an Administrative Associate/Rep if all other DME duties are completed.
● High School Diploma
● OTC Certification
● Valid Driver's License
Professional Experience Requirements:
● One (1) year of related healthcare experience.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
● Knowledge of physical rehabilitation theory, types of orthopedic surgeries and current therapies for orthopedic related conditions.
● Knowledge of and skills in rehabilitative equipment, computers, Microsoft Windows, Office and Outlook.
● Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and some legal documents.
