The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) is a registered professional nurse who has national certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and is licensed as a Nurse Practitioner by the North Carolina Joint Board of Nursing and Medicare. The NNP, in collaboration with the Neonatologist, perform patient management activities for an assigned group of neonates within established protocols. In addition, indirect patient care responsibilities include role modeling, clinical consultation, and educator.Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
