UNC Physicians Coding Department is seeking a Medical Coder with CPT abstraction and ICD-10 experience for the Coding Denials Team. The successful candidate will accurately assign CPT codes, ICD-10, codes, and appropriate modifiers utilizing various billing/coding systems. The coder will interact with various members of the healthcare team regarding documentation issues and coding trends, as well as, participate in provider education, collaborate with the healthcare team on assigned coding projects and denials, and represent UNC Physicians in meetings. The coder will provide claim scrubber management, creating coder education modules, and SharePoint management. Additional coding duties may be assigned as needed.
