Summary:

The UNC Health Alliance Program Manager is responsible for overseeing and cultivating assigned business development opportunities that drive growth and profitability under value-based care and alternative payment models. The Program Manager will utilize their knowledge of healthcare delivery, as well as, their strategic analytical skills to evaluate opportunities and provide thoughtful business recommendations in support of value based contracting and overall organizational planning rooted in thorough analysis of financial, operational, and quality data. They must foster effective working relationships with physicians, payers, employer groups, and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and present complex information in an effective and action orientated manner to a wide variety of audiences, including but not limited to, the Health Alliance Leadership Team, Primary Care and Specialty Providers, and UNC HC Senior Leadership. They must have outstanding written and oral communication skills as well as MS office including PowerPoint and Excel skills.

Description of Job Responsibilities:

Business Development and Strategic Initiatives - Provides leadership for business development and strategic initiatives between UNC Health Alliance and other parties. Provides project management and leadership support to ensure sustainable success until operational owners for new initiatives are in place.

Communication and Relationships: Establishes and maintains positive, ongoing relationships with internal and external health care organizations and partners and advances strategic relationships of UNC Health Alliance.

Financial and Business Planning: Provides analytical and strategic support for the assigned programs. Performs analytics, provides business insight into implications of findings, develops business plans, and recommends opportunities for improvement.

Programmatic Administration and Evaluation: Reviews payer contracts and terms and analyzes proposals to ensure consistency with strategic objectives. Manages complex programmatic initiatives, conducts financial and market analyses, and makes recommendations to leadership about the implications of program and market development investments.

Strategic Planning: Actively lead and participate in internal and external committees. Interacts with representatives throughout the organization to plan, organize and execute strategies with the goal of enhancing financial and quality outcomes, improved service and achieving a high level of customer satisfaction.

● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Health Administration or related field.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● No licensure or certification required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
● Five (5) years of program/project management experience required.
