Experienced RNs: Drop-in to learn more about our job opportunities and interview with the UNC REX Healthcare Emergency Department! We're hiring several positions, including: 

  • RN Clinical Nurse II - Full time (Days, nights and evening shifts available)
  • Supervisor Clinical Nurse IV - Full time (Variable)
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist - Psych - Full time (Variable) 

*RN Clinical Nurse II and RN Clinical Nurse IV Supervisor positions qualify for our new UNC REX RN Incentive Program, which offers includes up to a $20,000 commitment incentive ($5,000 at time of hire) or up to $25,000 tuition loan forgiveness. In addition, these positions are also eligible for up to $10,000 in relocation assistance (based on location) and our employee referral program. Drop-In Schedule:

  •  Tuesday, September 28 | 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Qualifications:

  • RN Clinical Nurse II - Graduation from school of professional nursing, RN license in North Carolina, BLS certification, and one (1) year of nursing experience. 
  • Supervisor Clinical Nurse IV  - Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN), RN license in North Carolina, BLS certification, and at least one (1) year of nursing experience. 
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist Psych - Master's degree in nursing (MSN), RN license in North Carolina, certification in the advanced practice area of specialization, and three (3) years of experience in the specialty.

About the UNC REX Healthcare Emergency Department:

The UNC REX Emergency Department includes 40 beds and a dedicated 8 bed behavioral health zone with private rooms. We have 2 major resuscitation rooms, triage rooms for initial assessment, in department radiology suiteand a decontamination room.Our ED team cares for patients in all life threatening situations, less-critical injuries requiring minor treatment, acute and behavioral health diagnoses. Patients with heart conditions receive excellent care in the REX ED Chest Pain Center, home of the Triangle's first accredited chest pain center.Stroke care is provided to patients by our Joint Commission certified Advanced Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center. The REX ED Leadership team is focused on team work and positive co-worker recognition for staff in our fast-paced work environment!
