This Director position will be focused on Core Inpatient Clinical systems which includes Epic Inpatient & Post-Acute modules (Orders, Clinical Documentation, ASAP ED, Stork OB, Case Management, Infection Control, Rehab, Mychart bedside, Epic Monitor, Inpatient Hospice, Inpatient Wound, Long-Term Care, Willow Inpatient Pharmacy, Willow Ambulatory Retail Pharmacy, Antimicrobial Stewardship, Clinical Decision Support, Beacon Oncology, Optime Surgery, Anesthesia, Beaker Core Lab/Micro, Beaker Anatomic Pathology and Genomics) as well as Non-Epic Lab and Non-Epic Pharmacy automation systems. Ideal candidate will have a combination of experience managing Clinical IT systems as well as a clinical or healthcare admin background.
Responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all Information Technology functions for the health system as it relates to Core Epic Clinical Solutions used in Inpatient, Post-Acute settings along with several non-Epic clinical solutions.
Qualified candidate must have management experience leading, planning, organizing and execution of a wide variety of clinical applications in a production setting across multi-facility health care organizations as well as a background working in a clinical role or other healthcare administration setting. Candidate must be able to demonstrate proven ability at managing large budget and reviewing a wide variety of IT contracts.
Directs all IT operations to meet customer requirements including support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions in accordance with Health System ISD standards.

Encourages workforce engagement by building a commitment to excellence. Leads team toward meeting the organization's vision, mission, and goals. Ensures compliance with health system and external accrediting agency guidelines and regulations. Develops, maintains, and ensures adherence to policies and procedures related to Health System IT standards including but not limited to IT security and privacy.
Directs system-level operations, develops goals and objectives, and administers policies, procedures and processes as needed. Aligns system-level objectives with organizational strategic plans.
Develops and manages Operating and Capital budget for Clinical Applications within ISD. Monitors financial performance and adjusts resources to optimize expenditure while maintaining exceptional quality and service. Reviews contracts and provides technical support on technical aspects of contracts and manages them through established contract management process. Oversees project and routine support budgets once established and implements projects in accordance with established project plan and budgets.
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).
Professional Experience Requirements:
● If a Bachelor's degree: Eight (8) years of related experience and five (5) years of progressive management experience.
● If an Associate's degree: Twelve (12) years of related experience and five (5) years of progressive management experience.
● If a High School diploma or GED: Sixteen (16) years of related experience and five (5) years of progressive management experience.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
● Understands and applies principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to specialized expertise.
