Summary:
The Supply Chain business analyst supports the deployment and implementation of the UNC Health Supply Chain strategic and operational objectives through the use of data-driven, analytical insights of department and system-level performance in the areas of spend, resource utilization, and operations.
Description of Job Responsibilities:
1. Analyze and interpret data and trends related to supply chain diversity, equity, and inclusion, internally and externally.
2. Leverages data from multiple organizational system to provide analytical insights of trends, compliance, risk and opportunities.
3. Monitors compliance with operational policies, procedures resulting in quantitative insights to enhance operational decision support, and identification of process and margin improvement opportunities.
4. Prepares financial analyses for departmental and system-wide planning.
5. Analyzes the movement of goods through the system supply chain, monitors current processes, identifies and analyzes gaps, and supports the development of process improvement.
6. Investigates problems, finds root causes, and develops data-driven solutions
7. Provides analytical support in the development of system level supply chain related performance reports, metrics, and KPIs.
8. Assists in promoting a positive image and inter-business relationships with supply chain business partners and vendors.
9. May be required to prepare and present regular updates or findings to internal and external stakeholders.

Education Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Public Administration or related field (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● No licensure or certification required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
● If a Bachelor's degree: Two (2) years of experience in professional accounting, management of an operational unit, business analysis or financial analysis.
● If an Associate's degree: Six (6) years of experience in professional accounting, management of an operational unit, business analysis or financial analysis.
● If a High School diploma or GED: Ten (10) years of experience in professional accounting, management of an operational unit, business analysis or financial analysis.
