Summary:
Clinical Integration is a key priority for UNC Health’s vision for the future. With a focus on our tripartite mission, UNC Health has stood up multiple specialty-specific Programs to tackle high priority issues, such as, clinical quality, growth, value, and access. These programs bring together operational and physicians leaders for a specialty to develop cohesive solutions. While functioning as a Program Manager, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to address critical issues, while interacting with senior leaders from across the healthcare system.

Responsibilities:

 1. Analyzes and resolves complex issues to maximize efficiency. Ensures all proper internal controls are in place to safeguard assets of the system and satisfies internal and external regulatory requirements. Develops and monitors operating and capital budget. 

2. Communication and Relationships Works with peers, stakeholders, clinicians and senior leaders to identify and analyze opportunities for improvement. Implements processes to identify, implement and ensure standardization decisions occur with minimal disruption to patient care or administrative activities and creating solutions. 

3. Financial and Business Planning Provides analytical and strategy support for the assigned program. Performs analytics, provides business insight into implications of findings, develops business plans, and recommends opportunities for improvement. 

4. Program Administration Plan, coordinate and administer activities of assigned program to include developing, implementing, and administering related procedures, processes, services and systems. 

5. Strategic Planning Interface with all UNC Health Care entities and effectively communicate strategies, successfully elicit support and provide assistance implementing those strategies. 

Qualifications

Education Requirements:
●  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Health Administration or Health-care related field. Master’s Degree preferred.

Professional Experience Requirements:
● Five (5) years of program/project management experience required.

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:

• Clinical or healthcare operational experience preferred • Proven ability to lead complex project initiatives in a clinical and/or business environment • Excellent analytical and communication skills, including facilitation and presentation skills • Proven ability to excel and achieve results in a team-oriented, matrixed environment • Experience leading groups of stakeholders/leaders to achieve quantifiable results • Knowledge of process improvement and change management techniques and tools • Highly responsive to internal customers • Proficient in Office Suite tools. • Understands healthcare cost structures at a high level.
