Summary:
The Pharmacy Benefit Management Sales Leader will be responsible for developing the sales strategy for a direct-to-employer pharmacy benefit management business. This will include establishing broker relationships and networking with local employer and industry groups to create excitement and position the business for success. The Pharmacy Benefit Management Sales Leader will be responsible for development of sales leads, contract negotiations, and closing deals.
Responsibilities:
·Develop and implement sales/pricing strategy for small to mid-size employers in North Carolina
·Engage with broker community and form relationships with those that align with the business's strategy and culture
·Achieve annual revenue targets for bringing on new clients
·Develop an active pipeline of opportunities and track progress in lead tool
·Collaborate with internal partners in support of the sales process
·Lead and coordinate the process for all RFPs
·Facilitate all meetings with prospective customers including finalist meetings
·Prepare internal team for meetings with prospective customers
·Support development of marketing materials and client/broker agreements
·Give presentations to employers, brokers, consultants and industry groups
·Monitor market conditions and keep the team abreast of market dynamics and competitive landscape
·As business grows, recruit and lead a small team of sales representatives to support activities above

● Requires Bachelor's degree in relevant degree
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Professional Experience Requirements:
● Requires ten (10) years of verifiable PBM or health plan sales experience
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
● Preference is for PBM experience with a successful sales record to self-funded employers. Previous experience leading small sales team a plus. Must demonstrate ability to communicate in a professional manner both in writing and through verbal presentation.
