Job Summary
Defines patient hearing and balance impairment by consulting with referring providers and/or in-office ENT surgeons; selects and administers relevant testing; operates diagnostic equipment, determines the type and degree of hearing and/or balance impairment and its effects on comprehension, speech, and balance; performs and interprets Audiograms, Tympanograms, Otoacustic Emissions (OAEs), Operating Room Sedated Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing, Clinic and Operating Room Sleep Deprived/Non-Sleep Deprived, and Sedated Auditory Steady State Response testing (ASSR), Video Nystagmography (VNG), and Caloric Testing Diagnostic Data; prepares written diagnostic reports; follows up regularly with patients and ENT surgeons to manage findings and treatment plans; maintains EMR/EMR records on patient’s progress.
