The Program Manager, Compensation is responsible for defining programs and policies in support of strategic Compensation initiatives at UNC Health. Develop innovative solutions to help business challenges regarding Compensation and Total Rewards. Responsible for developing clear and efficent communications to better describe UNC Health’s compensation and total rewards programs to employees and candidates. Focus on ensuring UNC Health remains competive in relation to benchmark data from a total rewards perspective. Provide leadership to Compensation Analysts and/or HR Data Analysts.
Description of Job Responsibilities:
Compensation - Responsible for the development and implementation of compensation practices and programs that attract, retain, motivate, and reward employees while ensuring internal equity, external competiveness, and compliance. This could include compensation, bonuses, equity, and recognition programs, with a focus on planning, excecution, and change management. Leads system level projects and initiatives such as job analysis, salary structure development and administration, incentive plan management, merit administration and other compensation processes as assigned. Suggests processes and tools within the total rewards function for optimal efficency and effectiveness. Collaborates with other HR functional areas to ensure effective communication of total rewards programs to employees and prospective employees. Monitors external markets for possible impacts on total rewards. Identify UNC Health’s position in the total rewards market and develop solutions to remain competitive with benchmark data. Partner with HR leadership to develop a roadmap regarding continued evolution of the total rewards program. Partner with HR and Finance in budgeting total compensation and rewards programs. Provide ongoing reporting and analytics specific to compensation.

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline.
Professional Experience Requirements:
Seven (7) years of experience in complex Compensation administration to include Compensation Project Management. 1 (year) of supervisory/management level experience.
