Job Description

This position may involve support of various hospitals and health care systems within the UNC Health Care System, but will be employed by Rex Hospital, Inc. (this includes, but is not limited to, for purposes of payroll, health benefits, retirement options, and applicable policies).

 Job Summary:

  • Primary function is to provide technical support for the Echo application/system.
  • Ensure successful day-to-day operations and future growth of Echo Cloud instance to support growing business lines of Payer Enrollment, Central Credentialing Office, and Medical Staff Offices
  • Pro-actively monitor Echo Cloud instance to check system logs for errors; respond to user requests for Echo support and day-to-day operational issues
  • Facilitate corrective actions with users, Vendor and ISD Services to fix Echo system issues
  • Stay abreast of Echo features and functionality to help provide and build solutions for users and create and manage user accounts
  • Data analysis of Echo provider data as needed for tasks such bulk data imports into the Echo database
  • Develop and manage reports via Echo’s reporting platform
  • Serve as liaison between Echo users, ISD Services and Vendor to ensure smooth integration of ISD technical operations that affect Echo usage and downstream systems
  • Help train new users on Echo system and communicate new features to users

    Education Requirements:
    ● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).
    Licensure/Certification Requirements:
    ● No licensure or certification required.
    Professional Experience Requirements:
    ● If a Bachelor's degree: Two (2) years of IT systems and/or operational experience.
    ● If an Associate's degree: Six (6) years of IT systems and/or operational experience.
    ● If a High School diploma or GED: Ten (10) years of IT systems and/or operational experience.
    Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:

    • General working knowledge of database architecture; familiar with DB tools such MS SQL Server Studio Management would be plus
    • Basic HTML
    • Project Management
    • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
    • Ability to work well in a team environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Highly responsive to internal customers.
