Chatham Hospital Virtual Hiring Event 

January 6, 2022 | 12:00 - 3:00 p.m.

*Interviews will be held virtually over phone or webcam

*We’re hiring Registered Nurses (RNs), Respiratory Therapists, RN Administrative Coordinators, CT Technologists, Medical Technologists, and Medical Lab Technicians.

We are currently hiring for the following units and positions:

  • Maternity Care Center (experienced RNs )
  • Emergency Department (new grad RNs, experienced RNs)
  • Medical-Surgical (new grad RNs, experienced RNs )
  • Nursing Administration (RN Admin Coordinator)
  • Respiratory Care (Respiratory Therapist II)
  • Imaging (CT Tech) *Full-time and per diem
  • Lab (Medical Technologist, Medical Lab Technician) *Med Lab Tech is part-time

New Grad RN (RN Clinical Nurse I):

  • Graduation from school of professional nursing.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina by the day of clinical care.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
  • No prior experience required.

Experienced RN (RN Clinical Nurse II): 

  • A minimum of one year of nursing experience.
  • For our Maternity Care Center, experienced maternity care RN is highly preferred.
  • Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
  • BCLS and Current RN License.

RN Administrative Coordinator:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited Nursing school preferred.
  • BCLS and Current RN License 
  • Five years of previous experience is desired.

Respiratory Therapist II:

  • Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board. Must be registered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care. BLS on hire. Must have either ACLS-Adults, NRP – NICU, PALS – PICU/Rex, CPFT – PFT, Advanced Practice certificate to administer moderate sedation in the Bronchoscopy Lab. Must maintain certification annually.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist 

CT Technologist:

  • Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible. For registry eligible candidates: must provide a copy of diploma from accredited program. 
  • Requires advanced certification in CT within one year of employment. 
  • Successful candidates must become registered within one year of employment and must maintain their registry status and continuing education requirements annually. 
  • All imaging specialists are required to maintain current competency in HCP BLS.

Medical Technologist

  • Requires Bachelor's of Science degree. Must meet eligibility requirements upon hire to sit for MT exam within 12 months of hire.
  • Must become MLS/MT (ASCP), MT (NCA), or MT (AMT) certified within 12 months of hire.

Medical Lab Technician

  • Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technician, Chemical Science, or Biological Science.
  • If Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technician, then must be ASCP or AMT Board of Certification eligible and must receive BOC within a year.
  • If Associate's degree in chemical or biological science, Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) or MLT (AMT) Board of Certification (BOC) required.
