Description
This position may involve support of various hospitals and health care systems within the UNC Health Care System, but will be employed by Rex Hospital, Inc. (this includes, but is not limited to, for purposes of payroll, health benefits, retirement options, and applicable policies).

Summary:
Provides the highest-level technical expertise in the development, modification and implementation of software systems designed to support new or existing business, clinical, and/or administrative computerized needs across the health care system. Responsible for all technical phases of projects and regularly lead entire projects that involve multiple departments and entities.
Responsibilities:
This position requires 7+ years of IT experience in a health care environment. 7+ years experience with Radiology and/or Cardiology systems applications, including RIS, PACS, or CPACS. General familiarity and competency with HL7, Dicom, Citrix, basic server administration, basic networking, storage concepts, IT security, application administration, diagnostic displays, and PCs is required. Direct experience in implementing and supporting Imaging Solutions at enterprise level is required. Prior clinical experience as a certified Radiology or Cardiology technologist or knowledge of other Epic applications, particularly Radiant or Cupid. Exposure to any of these applications is a plus: Fuji Cardiovascular PACS, Sectra PACS, Fuji Cardiovascular reporting, Fuji Radiology PACS, Powerscribe 360 VR, PS ONe, TeraRecon, 3D imaging applications, Nuance Powershare, Hyalnd VNA, Hyland Nil Viewer, Hyland PACS gear Modlink, Hyland MDR, Lumedx Apollo registries, Hemodynamic Systems, Muse EKG, Paceart Radiology Decision support, radiology dose tracking, Brainlab, and radiation does monitoring.
This position requires demonstrable project management experience, ability to lead interdisciplinary teams through implementations and problem solving (across Epic and non-Epic solutions), advanced technical ability, excellent communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to work with users of all skill levels. Must have the ability to work well with a team including mentoring junior colleagues while managing projects and mission critical operational activities at the same time. Provide oversight for the attainment of service level agreements and yearly key program objectives for assigned service lines and multiple teams. Perform due diligence and review of contract to ensure terms and conditions meet IT best practices and project requirements. The applicant must be willing to provide support in a 24/7 environment which will include on-call support duties during off hours, weekends and holidays as well as willingness to travel to off-site UNC locations as requested. Work schedules may include some after hours and weekend assignments based on project demands.

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).

Professional Experience Requirements:
● If a Bachelor's degree: Eight (8) years of progressive experience in computer programming and applications analysis.
● If an Associate's degree: Twelve (12) years of progressive experience in computer programming and applications analysis.
● If a High School diploma or GED: Sixteen (16) years of progressive experience in computer programming and applications analysis.
