Summary:
Responsible
for occupational health program development, training, and compliance. Works
collaboratively with staff at all levels to achieve strategic and QI goals. Responsible for recruiting new businesses and
management of Occupational Health accounts with local businesses as well as
employee health functions.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for occupational health and employee health program development for UNC Rockingham. Ensures compliance with new employee health assessments, drug screens, vaccines, health screenings, healthcare consultations, and organizational policies and procedures.
Responsible for development and implementation of internal and external occupational health programs. Identifies market needs, develops business plans, involves appropriate resources, and assumes accountability for achieving milestones
Evaluates, administers or coordinates treatment as needed and participates in the management of reported occupational injuries or illnesses under the supervision of the Medical Director.
Investigates disease outbreaks in the employee population and provides follow up of employee exposure to disease, blood and body fluids, and hazardous substances.
Works in colaboration with other departments in UNC Rockingham to establish organizational goals, and maintain policies and procedures in compliance with current professional standards, evidence based guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Completes an annual review of occupational health policies and procedures.
Maintains a database of organizational and employee health records in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Coordinates leave of absences and workers compensation cases with vendors, managers and Human Resources.

Education Requirements:
● Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● LPN NC or Multistate Licensure Required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
● Requires one year of clinical experience in a hospital setting or physician practice.
● Prefer experience within Occupational Health or physician practice management.
