Under the direction of the department management and according to policies and procedures as defined in the Department Policy and Procedure Manuals, administers respiratory care procedures and treatments designed to assess, prevent, stabilize or remedy patient’s respiratory dysfunction. After completion of orientation, would be able to function independently with minimal supervision.
● Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
● Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board. Must be registered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care. AHA or Red Cross BLS, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) on hire. Must maintain credentials
Professional Experience Requirements:
● Two (2) years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist. This experience does not have to be previously in pediatrics/neonatal.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
● Ability to communicate effectively, interpret a variety of technical situations, provide family-centered care, and interpret clinical information.
