Description
Onslow Memorial Hospital, located in coastal North Carolina, seeks an Anesthesiologist. The anesthesia department is a collaborative model, consisting of at least 2 full time physician anesthesiologists and>10 full time CRNAs. Responsibilities include performing preoperative assessments, being available to assist in cases if help is requested by the CRNA, perform regional nerve blocks, support any postoperative needs in PACU, availability to assist in any of the 6 anesthetizing locations in the hospital, etc…
The anesthesia department provides coverage for 4 ORs, labor and delivery, endoscopy, and 3 surgery center ORs, located within walking distance, daily Monday through Friday.
HIGHLIGHTS
• Signing bonus and salary well above the median, CME allowance, Malpractice insurance
• Schedule is M-F 7am – 3pm, infrequent call (<10 hours per month)
• Call will be shared with the other physician anesthesiologist. While on call anesthesiologist will provide backup for CRNAs for cases posted after hours or on the weekend.
REQUIREMENTS
• Licensed DO/MD in NC or eligible
• BC/BE in Anesthesia
• 3 years of wide ranging anesthesia experience preferred; residents are welcome to apply
• Strong team player
• Must meet criteria for medical staff credentials at Onslow Memorial Hospital
