Description
Job Summary:
This position assists in transporting, stocking, and delivering/serving food to the patients of the WakeBrook Campus in Raleigh. Assists with tray preparation as needed. Work is reviewed for adherence to sanitary standards and completion of assignments.
Description of Job Responsibilities:
1. Assists with food transport and delivery to units and works to ensure tray accuracy, adherence to special diets and customer service.
2. Assists with tray preparation during meal service hours when needed.
3. Clean and sanitize food services equipment, utensils and work areas, including pantry. Washes dishes by hand or by machine when needed.
4 Delivers food trays or nourishments to patient's rooms or nursing units.
5. Maintains compliance with Joint Comm, State Health Department, and OSHA regarding on-going required job training and health standards.
6. Keeps unit snack/floorstock inventories current and reorders weekly.
7. Transports meals from the Rex Skilled Nursing Facility to Wakebrook in the campus delivery truck including expectation to drive box truck.
8. Must be able to lift and transport 25+lbs regularly, including pushing carts.
9. Adheres to using proper protocol (wears hair restraint, gloves, and properly covers food to prevent contamination).
10. Assists with inclement weather meals during inclement weather.
* Food Service Experience preferred.
* ServSafe Certification preferred, but not required.
* Must have a valid and current Driver's License

● High School diploma or GED or the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos, and the ability to write simple correspondence.

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos, and the ability to write simple correspondence using Microsoft Office, and fill out meal count document in Excel accurately.
