**This is an interest requisition. If you’re a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Medical Assistant, Certified, or a Nursing Assistant II who is interested in joining us at The Center for Rehabilitation Care in Chapel Hill, please submit your application to this position. The Center for Rehabilitation Care in Chapel Hill are seeking qualified applicants for either an LPN, CMA, or CNA II role. This division offers a variety of services to children with disabilities, including multidisciplinary specialty clinics, inpatient consultation services in the UNC Children’s Hospital, botulinum toxin injections for spasticity and internet-based telemedicine video-conferencing to families in remote locations of the state.

Qualifications:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
- Requires graduation from a state accredited program of practical nurse education including a pharmacology course (or completion of an approved pharmacology course upon graduation)
- Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in the applicable state (NC or VA).
- No prior experience required.
Medical Assistant, Certified:
- Requires high school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a Medical Assisting program accredited by either the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accreditation Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) is strongly preferred but not required.
- Requires Medical Assistant certification by either the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Health Career Association (CCMA), National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA), or National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA).
- Basic Life Support Certification from American Heart Association required.
- Prior medical assistant or medical assistant externship experience preferred.
Nursing Assistant II:
- High School diploma or GED
- Listed as Nursing Assistant II with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Listed as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
- Six (6) months related nursing assistant experience
- Fluent in verbal and written English language and able to develop basic computer skills.
