Inpatient Flex Commitment Incentive
Eligibility:
- Of the positions listed below, RN Clinical Nurse II candidates must have12 months or more of RN experience.
- Not currently permanently employed or employed within the previous 12 months at any UNC Health System owned entity.
- Staff transitioning from per diem to permanent clinical staff would still be eligible for the remaining balance of the standard RN commitment incentive program, as applicable.
- Employee must remain in good standing throughout their commitment period. If an employee receives a final written warning, the incentive will be discontinued.
Eligible Positions:
- RN Clinical Nurse II – Flex Team Per Diem ($1,500)
- Clinical Support Tech II – Flex Team Per Diem ($1,200)
- Nursing Assistant I and II – Flex Team Per Diem ($1,200)
- Patient Sitter – Flex Team Per Diem ($1,200)
- PPE Monitor – Flex Team Per Diem ($1,200)
**This list includes current participating units; participation may vary or change at any time.
Commitment Incentive Expectations:
- Employee must be in active status at the time of installment payment; otherwise, the payment will be canceled. The remaining installment payments may resume upon the employees return to active status.
- The work commitment is to the department where initially hired.
Commitment Incentive Payout Schedule:
- Payment is provided in one lump sum once the new employee completes six (6) months of work. Eligible positions will periodically be re-evaluated to determine the discontinuation date. This program is effective to those with a start date April 4th, 2022 and after.
*UNC Health employees are not eligible for recruitment incentives when going from one owned entity to another.
