Incentives are applicable to UNC Medical Center, UNC Hillsborough Hospital, and Youth Behavioral Health Hospital as well as the UNC Health Rex positions listed below. New teammates may receive either the commitment incentive OR tuition loan forgiveness listed below (eligible parties will receive one or the other, but not both incentives.)

The following can be offered the hiring incentive at the time of offer into a permanent full time role:
Tuition Loan Forgiveness:
UNC Medical Center is offering tuition loan forgiveness to new hires of $10,000 paid in four (4) equal installments over four (4) years in order to attract qualified candidates that have earned a bachelor’s degree.
UNC Health Rex is offering tuition loan forgiveness to new hires of $15,000 paid in four (4) equal installments over four (4) years in order to attract qualified candidates that have earned a bachelor’s degree.

Commitment Incentive:
UNC Medical Center is offering a commitment incentive for newly-hired employees of $10,000 for a two (2) year work commitment. Payments will be provided in equal installments to the new employee after each six (6) month period of work is completed for two (2) years.
Eligible Job classes:
UNC Health Rex is offering a commitment incentive for newly-hired employees of $10,000 for a two (2) year work commitment. Payments will be provided in three (3) equal installments to the new teammate after their six (6) month, twelve (12) month, and twenty-four (24) month work through dates during the two (2) years. (*Note for UNC Health Rex positions: the above listed commitment incentive payout schedule has been updated for job offers 9/5/23 and after.)
