Revenue Cycle Commitment Incentive Program

Incentives are applicable to Shared Services - Revenue Cycle department.

Eligibility Requirement:

  • Employed full-time; scheduled to work 30 hours or more per week
  • Not currently employed, or employed within the previous twelve (12) months at any UNC Health system owned entity.
  • Employee must remain in good standing throughout their commitment period. If an employee receives a final written warning, the incentive will be discontinued.
  • Per diem and traveler/contract staff that transfer to a full-time position (30+ hrs/wk) will be eligible for the commitment incentive options in approved areas.

Incentive Expectations:

  • Employee must be in active status at the time of installment payment; otherwise, the payment will be cancelled. Remaining installment payments may resume upon the employee's return to active status.
  • The work commitment is to the organization where initially hired.

 

Incentive Offerings:

Commitment Incentive  (Effective to those with offer dates of 3/7/2022 or after. End - TBD and re-evaluated by administration.)

$4,000 - Payment is spread over a (3) year period. Payment is made after each six (6) month period of work is completed. $1,000 paid at time of hire.

  • Senior Intake Specialist
  • Patient Access Intake Specialist
  • Telecomm Specialist
  • Administrative Associate
  • Administrative Representative
  • Cashier

$5,000 - Payment is spread over a (3) year period. Payment is made after each six (6) month period of work is completed. $1,500 paid at time of hire.

  • Eligibility Specialist
  • Financial Assistance Specialist
  • Medical Coder II - Physician
  • Revenue Cycle Representative
  • Revenue Cycle Financial Representative
  • Financial Counselor

$6,500 - Payment is spread over a (3) year period. Payment is made after each six (6) month period of work is completed. $2,000 paid at time of hire.

  • Inpatient Coder Level I and Level II 
  • Senior Coder

$10,000 - Payment is spread over a (3) year period. Payment is made after each six (6) month period of work is completed. $4,000 paid at time of hire.

  • Inpatient/Outpatient Clinical Documentation Specialist
  • Inpatient/Outpatient Medical Coder Auditor

 

*UNC Health employees are not eligible for recruitment incentives when going from one owned entity to another.
