  • Cardiovascular Sonographer (Full-time Days)
  • RN Clinical Nurse II - Women's Center (Full-time Days and Nights)
  • RN Clinical Nurse II - Med Surg - 2nd Floor Nursing (Full-time Days and Nights)
  • RN Clinical Nurse II - ICCU (Full-time Days and Nights)
  • RN Clinical Nurse II - Emergency Room (Full-time Days and Nights)
  • RN New Grad Nurse - Women's Center (Full-time Days and Nights)

Program Guidelines:

  • This is a program in which the above specific positions are eligible for a commitment incentive bonus.
  • ​Be employed, and continue to work, in one of the regular full-time qualifying positions listed above (Full-time is 36 hours or more per week).
  • Not currently employed, or employed within the previous twelve (12) months at any UNC Health system owned entity. 
  • Not be currently employed as a Per Diem, traveler, or contract staff at any owned entity within UNC Health System.
  • Remain in good standing throughout the work commitment period.
  • If the employee receives a final written warning, resigns, or is terminated, the incentive will be discontinued.
  • Be inactive status at the time the installment payment is payable; otherwise, the payment will be canceled (and not paid on any future date). The remaining installment payments will be paid if the employee returns to active status, as long as the employee meets all other eligibility requirements.
  • Remain in the department where they initially hired.

Payout Amounts:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - $3,500
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Skilled Nursing Facility - $7,500
  • Medical Lab Tech - $10,000
  • Medical Technologist- $10,000
  • Nursing Assistant I (SNF) - $3,000
  • Occupational Therapist - $5,000
  • Pharmacy Tech with hospital experience - $3,000
  • Pharmacy Tech without hospital experience - $1,500
  • Physical Therapist - $15,000
  • Physical Therapy Assistant - $5,000
  • Cardiovascular Sonographer - $15,000
  • RN New Grad Nurse - Med Surg and ICCU - $3,000
  • RN New Grad Nurse - Women's Center - $3,000
  • RN Clinical Nurse II - Emergency Room - $15,000
  • RN Clinical Nurse II - 2nd Floor Nursing - Med Surg - $15,000
  • RN Clinical Nurse II - ICCU - $15,000
  • RN Clinical Nurse II - Women's Center- $15,000

 

Pay-out Details and Schedule:

Cardiovascular Sonographer - Up to $15,000 may be offered.  The amount offered is based on the department and years of commitment.  Payment is spread out over a two (2) year period in four installments. The payments are made after each six-month period of work are completed. 

Licensed Practical Nurse -  Up to $3,500 may be offered. The commitment incentive will be distributed in four (4) payments over a two (2) year commitment and will be considered part of the referring employee’s yearly earned income, subject to all applicable tax withholdings. Equal installments of $875 will be made after each six (6) months of work completed for up to two (2 )years.

Licensed Practical Nurse -  Skilled Nursing Facility - Up to $7,500 may be offered .The commitment incentive will be distributed in four (4) payments over a two (2) year commitment and will be considered part of the referring employee’s yearly earned income, subject to all applicable tax withholdings. Equal installments of $1,875 will be made after each six (6) months of work completed for up to two (2 )years.

Medical Lab Tech and Medical Technologist - Up to $10,000 may be offered.  The amount offered is based on the department and years of commitment.  Payment is spread out over an 18-month period in four installments. The first payment is made upon hire (within the first 60 days) and the remaining payments after each six-month period of work are completed. 

New Grad Nurse -  Up to $3,000 may be offered. Payment will be distributed with 50% at the new hire's start date and the second payment is 50% after the new hire completes 6 months.

Nursing Assistant I (SNF)- Up to $3.000 may be offered. The commitment incentive will be distributed in four (4) payments over a two (2) year commitment and will be considered part of the referring employee’s yearly earned income, subject to all applicable tax withholdings. Equal installments will be made after each six (6) months of work completed for up to two (2 )years.

Pharmacy Tech with hospital experience -  Up to $3,000 may be offered.The amount offered is based on the department and years of commitment.  Payment is spread out over an 18-month period in four installments. The first payment is made upon hire (within the first 60 days) and the remaining payments after each six-month period of work are completed.

Pharmacy Tech without hospital experience -  Up to $1,500 may be offered.The amount offered is based on the department and years of commitment.  Payment is spread out over an 18 month period in four installments. The first payment is made upon hire (within the first 60 days) and the remaining payments after each six-month period of work are completed.

Physical Therapist - Up to $15,000 may be offered; the amount offered is based on the department and years of commitment.  Payment is spread out over an 18 month period in four installments. The first payment is made upon hire (within the first 60 days) and the remaining payments after each six-month period of work are completed. 

Physical Therapy Assistant and Occupational Therapist - Up to $5,000 may be offered.  The amount offered is based on the department and years of commitment.  Payment is spread out over an 18 month period in four installments. The first payment is made upon hire (within the first 60 days) and the remaining payments after each six-month period of work are completed. 

RN Clinical Nurse II - Up to $15,000 may be offered to an already earned Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's nursing degree RN.  The amount offered is based on the department and years of commitment.  Payment is spread out over an 18 month period in four installments. The first payment is made upon hire (within the first 60 days) and the remaining payments after each six-month period of work are completed.
